Voice Over Internet Protocol

Voice Over Internet Protocol, otherwise known as VOIP, is a relatively new technology. Traditional phone systems utilize an entirely separate network of cabling in order to deliver voice services. VOIP operates over your existing data network and utilizes your internet connection for connectivity. As a result, there is no confusing wiring to maintain and no hardware to maintain. Instead, Adtech maintains all of your phone system equipment in our secure facility, with your office phones connecting over the internet.

Flexibility and Connectivity

With a traditional phone system, you are tied in to what extensions are what and which features you have available by physical equipment and wiring. VOIP technology is entirely digital, meaning that your hardware and your phones are completely agnostic. If you take your office phone and plug it in anywhere else where there's an internet connection, it's extension and functionality remains the same. Because the functionality of your phones does not rely on physical proximity or direct connection to any particular piece of equipment, the phones and all of their features can be used from virtually anywhere.

Expandability

Our advanced platform is built on the award-winning Asterisk platform by Digium. As such, we are able to extend the functionality of our hosted PBX systems to include features that simply are not available in a traditional phone system.
